ABOUT US
Health @ Greensquare is an urban general practice located in Zetland. The practice is located in the old South Sydney Hospital site and is on the corner of Hansard Street and Joynton Ave. There is ample parking in the front of the building. We service the local community but also draw a number of patients from other areas including some from as far away as the Blue Mountains, Picton and Melbourne.
The practice was established in January 2004. Initially it was a solo practice with Dr Melinda Griffiths as the only General Practitioner. It has slowly grown and we now have 4 doctors working part time, and Dr Bradley Forssman has bought into the practice (much to Dr Mel's delight!). Each of our doctors has a special interest and two of the four doctors also work elsewhere in their area of special interest.
We have 3 reception staff and two (job-sharing) practice managers. We also have a full time practuce nurse who provides vaccinations, wound management, chronic care management and triage of emergencies.
In addition, we have a psychologist and a dietitian who rents rooms in the practice.
Special interests of the practice include paediatrics, women's health , men's health, travel medicine, aviation medicine, HIV medicine and preventative health and psychiatry.
We also do palliative care as the need arises and a lot of this work is home based.

BABY NEWS!!! We are very excited that two of our doctors have delivered beautiful babies. Dr Trish gave birth to little Zara and Dr Rebecca Blake has given birth to Marcus. They are all doing well. DOCTOR NEWS Dr Trish has left our practice for a seachange to Coffs Harbour, and Dr Rebecca has gone on maternity leave. We are trying to find replacement doctors to fill their considerable shoes, however there is a significant GP shortage in Sydney as elsewhere, and we are currently down on medical staff. We are also looking for another part-time practice nurse. Our books are currently closed to new patients to ensure we are able to provide excellent service to all our existing patients, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to have new doctors on board soon, at which time we will again accept new patients. YELLOW FEVER ACCREDITED PRACTICE We are accredited by the World Health Organisation to provide Yellow Fever vaccine (Stamaril) to those travellers visiting certain countries in South America and Africa where yellow fever vaccine is compulsory. aviation medicals Dr Bradley Forssman is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner and is availble to perform aviation medicals as required by CASA. Please call our reception staff to make a booking. TRAVEL VACCINATIONS We stock all vaccinations required for both corporate and leisure travel (eg yellow fever, hepatitis, typhoid, rabies), as well as occupational vaccinations (eg Flu vax). Parent line If you have any issues relating to your children, confidential help is available for parents on 132055. Speak to a counsellor for the cost of a local call, anywhere in NSW. Available from 9.30 - 4.30 Monday to Saturday.
